Meet Leelee, a joyful second grader with a bright smile, contagious giggles, and her own special way of communicating.
Leelee may not always use spoken words, but she has lots to say. Through her smiles, gestures, expressions, movements, and the things she loves, Leelee shows the world who she is.
From swinging at recess and playing in the ball pit to building towers and enjoying her favorite things, Leelee discovers that friendship doesn’t have to look or sound the same for everyone.
When her classmates begin to understand Leelee’s unique way of communicating, they discover that sometimes the most meaningful conversations don’t happen with words at all.

What Children Can Discover
Communication: There are many ways to express yourself.
Friendship: Being a good friend means learning to understand others.
Inclusion: Everyone deserves to feel welcome and valued.
Sensory experiences: What feels small to one person may feel big to another.
Big feelings: Feelings are okay, and sometimes we need support navigating them.
Change: When plans don’t go as expected, we can take things one step at a time.
